CHAD ECHO FUNDED PROJECT: Strengthening Resilience through Multi-Sectoral Response Project

Center for Community Health and Development CHAD International is seeking qualified and dedicated individuals to join our team in implementing the ECHO-funded project, "Strengthening Resilience through Multi-Sectoral Response in Borno, Zamfara, and Sokoto States." This project aims to address the urgent humanitarian needs of affected populations in the Northeast and Northwest regions of Nigeria.

Project Overview

In partnership with The International Rescue Committee (IRC) Deutschland GGMBH, CHAD International will be implementing the ECHO-funded project in Gwoza LGA, Borno State. The project focuses on the Education in Emergencies sector and aims to provide critical support to vulnerable populations.

Job Summary: The Admin Officer will provide essential administrative and logistical support to the project team, ensuring the smooth running of office operations. This role involves managing office supplies, maintaining records, coordinating travel arrangements, and providing general administrative support. Additionally, the Admin Officer will contribute to the development of key HR and administrative policies and procedures.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative or office management roles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.

  • Maintain office files and records, both electronic and physical.

  • Coordinate travel arrangements for staff, including booking flights, accommodations, and visas.

  • Provide administrative support to project staff, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and preparing correspondence.

  • Answer and direct phone calls, and manage office correspondence.

  • Maintain office equipment and liaise with IT support for technical issues.

  • Support the procurement and logistics team with administrative tasks.

  • Ensure office cleanliness and maintain a welcoming environment.

  • Contribute to the development of a Recruitment Guideline outlining the recruitment process.

  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive Human Resource Policy covering employee rights, responsibilities, and benefits.

  • Contribute to the development of a Harassment Policy outlining the organization's stance on harassment and the reporting process.

  • Contribute to the development of a Talent Acquisition Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to streamline the recruitment process.

  • Contribute to the development of a Conflict of Interest Policy to address potential conflicts of interest.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HND or Bachelors Degree in a related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative or office management roles.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
