CHAD International is a woman-led civil society organization dedicated to empowering communities and safeguarding the rights of those affected by crises and marginalization in Nigeria. Established in 2002 by a group of passionate women, CHAD has since become a trusted leader in humanitarian assistance and community development.
Guided by principles of humanity, integrity, and accountability, we work tirelessly to ensure access to education, protection from harm, and opportunities for economic empowerment. Our comprehensive programs span various sectors, including child protection, education, gender-based violence prevention, and psychosocial support.

At CHAD International, we are guided by a dedicated Executive Director and a Board of Trustees, each playing a vital role in steering our organization towards our mission of empowering communities and safeguarding rights in Nigeria.
Our Executive Director serves as the visionary leader at the helm of CHAD. With a wealth of experience and a deep-seated passion for humanitarian causes, DR. Lucy Usen leads our organization with a clear vision and steadfast determination. Drawing upon a diverse background in Education and Protection sector , she provides strategic direction and oversees the implementation of our programs, ensuring that each initiative aligns closely with our mission and values. She brings a unique blend of leadership, compassion, and expertise to the role, inspiring our team and stakeholders to work towards our shared goal of positive social change.
