CHAD International Accelerates Distribution of Lifesaving Kits to Protect 12,000 Vulnerable individuals
with Support from the Dutch Relief Alliance

In the wake of devastating floods that have displaced thousands and heightened risks of disease and malnutrition, CHAD International, in partnership with Plan International (consortium lead) and Dutch NGOs, is delivering critical WASH (Water, Sanitation, Hygiene) and Dignity kits to 12,000 households across Borno State.
The Crisis
The recent Borno flooding have destroyed homes, contaminated water sources, and disrupted livelihoods, disproportionately impacting women, children, and persons with disabilities. Without urgent intervention, the risk of waterborne diseases like cholera and long-term displacement threatens to deepen the humanitarian crisis.
The Response
As part of the Dutch NGOs Joint Humanitarian Response for floods in Nigeria, Plan International—leading the consortium—and CHAD International have mobilized teams to distribute:
WASH kits: Water containers, Bucket with lids, Washing soap, Bathing soap, Laundry detergent, Torchlight, Whistle.
Dignity Kits: Sanitary pads, Vaseline, Soap, Hair comb, Toothpaste, Under wears
To date, 7,176 households (60% of the target) have received supplies, prioritizing female-headed households, the elderly, and those in hard-to-reach areas.
