CHAD ECHO FUNDED PROJECT: Strengthening Resilience through Multi-Sectoral Response Project
Center for Community Health and Development CHAD International is seeking qualified and dedicated individuals to join our team in implementing the ECHO-funded project, "Strengthening Resilience through Multi-Sectoral Response in Borno, Zamfara, and Sokoto States." This project aims to address the urgent humanitarian needs of affected populations in the Northeast and Northwest regions of Nigeria.

Project Overview
In partnership with The International Rescue Committee (IRC) Deutschland GGMBH, CHAD International will be implementing the ECHO-funded project in Gwoza LGA, Borno State. The project focuses on the Education in Emergencies sector and aims to provide critical support to vulnerable populations.
Job Summary: The Communication Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to promote the project and CHAD International's mission, while ensuring full compliance with EU visibility requirements. This role involves managing media relations, creating communication materials, and building relationships with key stakeholders.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial management, preferably in NGO settings.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with project goals and EU visibility guidelines.
Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials in accordance with EU branding and messaging.
Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, ensuring EU visibility in media coverage.
Manage media inquiries and conduct media interviews, highlighting EU support.
Develop and manage the organization's social media platforms, incorporating EU branding and messaging.
Create and design communication materials (brochures, flyers, posters, etc.) adhering to EU visibility standards.
Organize and participate in public events and outreach activities, promoting EU support.
Monitor media coverage and generate media reports, measuring EU visibility.
Ensure compliance with the Communication and Visibility Manual for European Union-funded Humanitarian Aid Actions.
Coordinate with project teams to integrate EU visibility elements into project activities.
Develop and implement a plan to meet the visibility requirements outlined in the e-Single Form, including standard and above-standard visibility as applicable.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in communications or public relations.
Strong understanding of EU visibility guidelines and requirements.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
