Our Executive Director, Dr. Lucy Usen, visited Gwoza to witness firsthand the impact of our efforts.

CHAD International, in partnership with IRC and with the generous support of the European Union, is committed to providing quality, accountable, and inclusive education to children in crisis-affected areas like Gwoza. Our Education in Emergencies project aims to ensure that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to learn and thrive.

Recently, our Executive Director, Dr. Lucy Usen, visited Gwoza to witness firsthand the impact of our efforts. She was deeply inspired by the children's eagerness to learn, even in the most difficult circumstances.

Education is a fundamental human right. It empowers individuals, strengthens communities, and drives social and economic development. In times of crisis, education becomes even more critical, providing stability, hope, and a pathway to a better future.

By investing in education in emergencies, we are:

  • Protecting children from harm: Schools can provide a safe haven for children, shielding them from violence and exploitation.

  • Building resilience: Education equips children with the skills and knowledge to cope with adversity and rebuild their lives.

  • Promoting social cohesion: Education can help to bridge divides and foster understanding among different communities.

  • Laying the foundation for a better future: By providing quality education, we are investing in the next generation of leaders and innovators.

CHAD International remains dedicated to our mission of providing effective and appropriate assistance to children in need. Through our Education in Emergencies project, we are working to ensure that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to learn and thrive.

Why Education in Emergencies Matters

"It's a privilege to be part of a project that can make a real difference in their lives," she shared.
