CHAD ECHO FUNDED PROJECT: Strengthening Resilience through Multi-Sectoral Response Project

Center for Community Health and Development CHAD International is seeking qualified and dedicated individuals to join our team in implementing the ECHO-funded project, "Strengthening Resilience through Multi-Sectoral Response in Borno, Zamfara, and Sokoto States." This project aims to address the urgent humanitarian needs of affected populations in the Northeast and Northwest regions of Nigeria.

Project Overview

In partnership with The International Rescue Committee (IRC) Deutschland GGMBH, CHAD International will be implementing the ECHO-funded project in Gwoza LGA, Borno State. The project focuses on the Education in Emergencies sector and aims to provide critical support to vulnerable populations.

Job Summary: The Education Officer will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of education programs within the project area. This role involves developing and delivering quality education interventions, coordinating with community stakeholders, and ensuring the effective utilization of resources.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in education program implementation, preferably in emergency contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive education programs aligned with project goals.

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to inform curriculum development.

  • Recruit, train, and supervise education staff to deliver high-quality instruction.

  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of education interventions to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.

  • Foster strong partnerships with community leaders and other stakeholders to optimize program effectiveness.

  • Prepare detailed reports on program activities, achievements, and challenges.

  • Provide technical support and mentorship to learning facilitators to enhance their capacity.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in education program implementation, preferably in emergency contexts.

  • Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
